police in the Taiz district of Taiz Governorate reported receiving a report on Thursday of an explosion in a fireworks and weapons warehouse belonging to Rashid Ahmed Murshid, resulting in the deaths of three people and damage to several nearby buildings, according to the Ministry of Interior’s security media.
The Taiz police reported that the incident resulted in the deaths of Anas Fayez Mohammed Ahmed (9 years old), Jameel Ali Hadi (25 years old), and Tariq Ali Saeed Al-Rumaim (25 years old).The explosion also injured five other people.
The police stated that they immediately responded to the scene of the incident, accompanied by a civil defense team, which was able to extinguish the resulting fire. The forensic team conducted an inspection.
The Taiz police confirmed that investigations are still ongoing to determine the circumstances and causes of the explosion, noting that they will take the necessary legal action in this regard.
