Intensified Calls To Head To Al-Aqsa & Perform Friday Prayers

Youth and Jerusalemite groups called at dawn today, Friday, for the people of Jerusalem, the occupied Palestinian interior, and all who can reach, to head to Al-Aqsa Mosque and perform Friday prayers.

According to Sanad News Agency, the calls stressed the importance of mass presence in Al-Aqsa courtyards for the first Friday prayer after the mosque’s reopening to worshippers.

Activists urged intensified presence at Al-Aqsa to affirm the Palestinian and Islamic right to the mosque and reject all enemy attempts to impose new realities or take control of the site.

The groups emphasized that wide attendance at Al-Aqsa sends a message of steadfastness against the enemy’s plans, especially after the recent closure and restrictions.

They also called for Friday prayers to be a day of unity in defending the holy sites.

These calls come days after the enemy authorities fully closed Al-Aqsa Mosque under the pretext of security conditions linked to the recent war with Iran.

They prevented worshippers from entering for more than ten days — an unprecedented move in years targeting freedom of worship and the mosque’s religious status
