Leader of the Revolution Sayyed Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi on Tuesday emphasized the importance of continuing to build upon the foundation of preparedness for the next round of confrontation with the Israeli enemy and those who collude with it.
In a speech delivered this afternoon on the occasion of the annual commemoration of the martyrs of 1447 AH, Sayyed al-Houthi said, “We understand the importance of continuing to build upon the foundation of preparedness for the next round of confrontation with the enemy and those who collude with it. By the grace of Allah Almighty, our dear people have been guided to take a great stand against the Israeli enemy, alongside the oppressed Palestinian people, against the genocide and horrific crimes that have shaken the entire world.”
Sayyed al-Houthi pointed out that the Yemeni people have taken an honorable stance, utilizing all their military capabilities, and through tremendous and intensive popular mobilization. This has been accompanied by efforts to build military capabilities. Al-Houthi added, “We have emerged from this round stronger than we were in any previous stage, thanks to Allah Almighty.”
He continued, “We have emerged from this round stronger in military capabilities, training, and qualification, popular mobilization, and preparedness at all levels, as well as in terms of experience, lessons learned, and dealing with Western technologies and tactics, and much more.”
Al-Houthi went on to say, “We are inevitably heading towards another round of confrontation with the Israeli enemy, and our region cannot witness stability, security, or peace as long as the Israeli enemy remains occupying Palestine and pursuing its Zionist plan against us as a Muslim nation.”
Sayyed al-Houthi urged the continuation of mobilization and awareness-raising activities, saying, “We must continue all our activities, and among the remarkable activities these days are the great tribal gatherings.” The Leader of the Revolution extended his greetings, respect, and profound appreciation to the honorable tribes of Yemen, who have demonstrated their unwavering commitment, complete readiness, and loyalty to the martyrs through their magnificent gatherings in recent days.
Sayyed al-Houthi also emphasized the importance of caring for the families of the martyrs, acknowledging the responsibility towards them, and paying attention to this occasion throughout the Martyr’s Week, considering it a significant event.
The Leader began his speech by discussing the various activities commemorating the annual Martyr’s Day, which continues for a full week, extending his greetings, respect, and appreciation to all the relatives of the martyrs.
The leader considered martyrdom a great privilege and honor bestowed by Allah Almighty upon those who were killed in His cause and who followed the path He ordained. There is never any loss in martyrdom with Allah, and Allah has granted the martyrs something far better than this worldly life.
He said, “The high status enjoyed by the martyrs is a source of solace for their relatives and an incentive for jihad in the cause of God, regardless of the dangers,” explaining that martyrdom is a lofty level of faith attained when a person is ready to sacrifice himself in the way of Allah.
He added, “Martyrdom in the cause of Allah is not an alternative to the culture of life, as some promote, but rather it is the true culture of life,” affirming that a nation that acts with the spirit of jihad in the cause of God and the spirit of martyrdom is proud and protects itself from dangers.
The leader pointed out that martyrdom is life for the nation and protects it from annihilation and humiliation. It stands in contrast to the culture of subjugation, which will not save the nation from death and killing.
Sayyed al-Houthi added, “There were periods in which the nation abandoned jihad in the cause of Allah and the hatred of martyrdom became entrenched, but the result was that the nation suffered calamities and lost millions of its sons in a state of surrender.”
He continued, “Great tragedies have occurred in the history of the nation, from past eras to the colonial period and up to the present stage, during which the nation has offered countless martyrs who were killed outside of combat and without provocation.”
He affirmed that the Americans admitted this year that they have killed approximately three million people over the past twenty years, most of them members of this nation who were killed without cause.
The leader of the revolution pointed out that martyrdom stands in opposition to the culture of subjugation, which leads to annihilation without any positive outcome, and is an alternative to offering sacrifices and making concessions in the service of the nation’s enemies.
He said, “We see in the movements of the Takfiris and other forces and groups that they have shifted the direction of their hostility to where the Americans and Israelis want it to be.”
He explained that martyrdom in the cause of Allah is an investment in the inevitable departure from this world, and it is linked to a stance and a cause upon which the martyr acts. The fruit of martyrdom is the protection of the people, warding off evil from them, confronting tyranny, and facing criminals. He added, “The people of falsehood, injustice, and tyranny act with diabolical goals and criminal practices, just as America, Israel, and those associated with them do.”
He spoke about the enemies’ objectives, which aim to enslave people to other than God, to plunder the wealth of nations, occupy them, subjugate societies, and exploit them. He indicated that the martyrs are the owners of a just cause and a righteous stance, and their contributions were elevated and their impact was immense because they acted with the spirit of martyrdom in the cause of Allah and freed themselves from all the constraints that shackle others.
He stated that many people may not act in many situations out of fear of martyrdom, and therefore their contributions are limited and their aspirations are very low. He pointed out that those who embraced the spirit of martyrdom were the most contributing and the most generous in their giving when they acted in important and crucial situations.
Sayyed Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi stated that the active presence of the martyrs on the battlefield embodies Islamic and faith-based values at the highest level, considering them a source of pride for their nation, inspiring role models, and exemplary figures. Their wills, lives, and stances serve as lessons for the nation and future generations.
He praised the lessons in great values, steadfastness, and loyalty that the martyrs provide, and the victories and glory that their sacrifices, efforts, and dedication have directly brought to their nation. He explained that societies with high morale and unwavering will are not broken by fear, while societies that fear and shy away from martyrdom are nations that surrender to their enemies and whose will is broken.
He said, “Societies that live in a state of humiliation, intimidation, exaggeration, and intense fear shackle and restrict themselves to their enemies, and do not thereby achieve safety, but rather expose themselves to even greater dangers. History bears witness to this, and many societies have paid a heavy price for their surrender and submission, fearing to bear witness and take serious action against their enemies to protect themselves from their evil, tyranny, and criminality.”
Sayyed al-Houthi added, “The foundation of faith, because it is connected to Allah, builds the nation to be at a great level of high morale, courage, steadfastness, and strength in confronting challenges and dangers,” affirming that the fruit of sacrifice in the way of Allah is manifested in this world with victory, glory, and empowerment, and in the Hereafter with true victory, immense blessings, and eternal happiness.
He continued, “When a nation or a particular society moves in the way of Allah, is truthful, and makes sacrifices, Allah grants them victory and supports them and does not abandon them. There is evidence in the reality of believers and mujahideen who have achieved great victories from Allah Almighty, and there are many examples in our time and throughout history.”
The Leader mentioned that reality testifies that the Quranic movement, with Allah’s help, has increased in glory, empowerment, and victory against the enemies who hoped to break its will, emphasizing that jihad in the way of Allah is the noblest way to confront a prevailing reality in human life, which is the inevitability of conflict.
Sayyed al-Houthi continued, “There is an ongoing conflict in the reality of humanity, because the forces of evil do not possess the values of mercy, justice, and goodness, but rather move on the stage of life with their evil and injustice to enslave people. Allah Almighty has outlined the path for people to deal with this existing reality in order to establish the values of goodness, justice, and benevolence, and that is through jihad in His way.”
He expressed regret that the nation has for a long time, for centuries, neglected its great and sacred responsibilities, which would have enabled it to become the strongest nation on earth. He affirmed that the nation’s current reality of disunity, division, a terrible lack of awareness, and the abundance of collaborators within it, is a reality that tempts its enemies and encourages them to target it.
He continued, “We are a targeted nation, whether we like it or not. Nothing protects us or defends us except jihad in the way of Allah. Surrender, compromise, humiliation, and submission to the enemies will not protect us from their evil or ward off their danger.”
The leader of the revolution considered jihad in the way of Allah a sacred responsibility to confront evil and tyranny, and one of the necessities the nation needs to protect itself, adding, “Our fiercest enemies in this era are the Jews, and they are working to annihilate this nation, corrupt it, mislead it, enslave it, and violate its sanctity.”
Al-Houthi further stated, “The Jews want to direct blame within the nation against those who do not accept Jewish hegemony and do not submit to them, and they have brought most of them to a state of shameful, disgraceful, and humiliating subservience.” He affirmed that the Islamic nation possesses all the factors that, if utilized, would lead to victory against the Jews.
Sayyed al-Houthi continued, “The Zionist Jews are in a state of aggression against this nation, starting with the occupation of Palestine and everything that followed, up to the present day,” pointing out that Palestine is not the only target of the enemies; it is at the forefront, and behind it, the entire nation is targeted. He said, “The magnitude of the crimes committed by the Israeli enemy for more than seven decades is enough for us to understand, if we only open our eyes, ears, and minds, that this enemy is dangerous, evil, and criminal. The issue is not that we are provoking or antagonizing the Zionist Jews,” asking, “What did the Palestinian people do to the Jews that they came from all corners of the earth to occupy Palestine? Nothing.”
Sayyed Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi reiterated that the Zionist Jews do not need to be provoked; they operate from a cultural, intellectual, and ideological background of evil, criminality, and tyranny, and this is embodied in their targeting of this nation.
He pointed out that the Zionists continue their aggression and killing even after the ceasefire agreement in Gaza and do not abide by the agreements. The American “guarantor” is a partner in the Israeli crimes in Gaza, and the other guarantors stand idly by, unable to do anything.
Al-Houthi added, “The nation has chosen helplessness for itself, and therefore it always remains in a state of helplessness,” confirming that only a very small amount of the agreed-upon aid, which is the right of the Palestinian people, is actually entering Gaza.
He noted that the Israeli enemy continues the siege, the closure of the Rafah crossing, and the prevention of the evacuation of the sick and wounded, and violates every aspect of the agreement, including continuing the bombing and destruction of buildings in Gaza, kidnapping and torturing Palestinian prisoners with the most horrific forms of torture and humiliation. They also prevent the provision of tents, shelter, and everything else the Palestinian people need.
Sayyed al-Houthi explained that the enemy recently issued a law concerning Palestinian prisoners, and its criminals in prisons and detention centers boast about humiliating, threatening, and intimidating the prisoners. The enemy entity treats the prisoners from Palestine with the worst and harshest treatment and commits the most heinous crimes against them.
The leader stated that the number of martyrs among Palestinian prisoners has exceeded 80, and during this period of aggression against the Gaza Strip, the enemy continues to threaten al-Quds and work to obliterate all its Islamic landmarks.
He called upon the people of the nation to be aware of the Israeli approach, which is an insult and mockery of them, because it uses methods of manipulation and psychological conditioning to make them accept all its crimes.
He pointed out that the Israeli enemy practices the worst abuses, yet despite all this, it is accepted, welcomed, and there is a rush to normalize relations with it and link everything in the region to it, even down to a sip of water. He affirmed that the enemy entity continues its aggression in the West Bank with all forms of attacks, including killing, land confiscation, and intensive assaults.
Al-Houthi said, “What the Israeli Zionist Jews have done against the Palestinian people to prevent them from harvesting their olive crop constitutes despicable attacks,” noting that the Israeli enemy continues its attacks on Lebanon, and UNIFIL forces have acknowledged monitoring 9,400 violations of the agreement by the enemy entity.
He added, “Many people in the nation are focusing on the Israeli demands to disarm Hezbollah, which protects Lebanon,” affirming that America has provided all support to the Israeli enemy and is a full partner in the injustice, genocide, and aggression perpetrated against the Palestinian people.
He affirmed that America, Germany, Italy, and Britain were among the most prominent suppliers of weapons to the enemy, along with 26 other countries that participated in sending arms shipments during the aggression on Gaza, and that some Arab countries continued their trade with the Israeli enemy during the aggression on the Strip.
The Leader of the Revolution also touched upon the anniversary of the ominous Balfour Declaration, which reminds us of the reality of the British, American, and Western role in enabling the Zionist enemy to occupy Palestine. It also serves as a reminder of the Arab negligence and dereliction of duty, the lack of vision, and the horrific Arab and Islamic failure.
Sayyed al-Houthi continued, “The unfortunate thing is that this negligence continues, and the failure to take any serious stance persists, even during the two-year aggression on the Gaza Strip, while public opinion has changed considerably in America, Europe, and other countries of the world as people moved with their human conscience to show solidarity with the Palestinian people.”
He went on to say, “There is popular awareness and awakening in many parts of the world, while some Arab countries remain as they are, in a state of negligence and even worse, because there is an effort to subjugate the people of our nation to their enemy. It was more fitting for the people of the nation to benefit, understand, and act before others.”
The Leader pointed out that people at the furthest ends of the earth are taking action, while the targeted people, who have a greater responsibility than others, are not benefiting from this. This is a very dangerous situation, he affirmed, stressing that there is a relentless and intensive effort to distort the image of the vibrant, struggling, and liberated forces among the sons of the nation.
He added, “Since the ceasefire declaration in the Gaza Strip, the forces loyal to America and Israel have launched very intensive smear campaigns against those who stood with Gaza. The hypocrites loyal to America and Israel adopt the same Israeli and American logic and descriptions, labeling those who stood with the Palestinian people as Iranian, an Iranian tool, and other such distortions.”
Al-Houthi continued, “The Islamic Republic of Iran, a free Muslim country, is being maligned because it has not submitted to America but instead stands with the Palestinian people.” He pointed out that hypocrites focus on portraying any hostile stance against the Israeli enemy according to the Israeli and American narrative in order to discredit all the free people of the nation.
Sayyed Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi explained that these hypocrites encourage crime and sedition, as is happening in Sudan with the most heinous crimes. Those who support the criminality in Sudan are the same forces that are hostile to the Palestinian people and all those who support them.
He described anyone who stands with the Israeli enemy as a loser and evil, exposing their criminality and wickedness. He affirmed that those who stand with the Israelis and oppose those who stand against them are the criminals, the wicked, and the hypocrites, who will inevitably be the losers in the end.
