Syrian Observatory: Israeli drone targets Al-Mantara Dam in Central Quneitra Countryside

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported that an Israeli drone dropped bombs near Al-Mantara Dam in the central countryside of Quneitra today, Wednesday, with no confirmed information so far regarding human casualties.

The Observatory added that the drone flew at a low altitude over the area before targeting the surroundings of the dam with several bombs, causing loud explosions and widespread fear among residents.

This strike comes amid repeated violations in the Quneitra countryside, against a backdrop of ongoing security tensions and nearly daily drone flights over the area.

Yesterday, the skies over several villages in the Yarmouk Basin area in western Daraa witnessed low-altitude helicopter flights, believed to be operated by Israeli forces, with no reports of military operations or casualties.

Israeli forces also reportedly dropped flares around the village of Jibatha Al-Khashab and the city of Quneitra, concurrently with drone flights over the village.

This coincided with the incursion of six Israeli military vehicles into the village of Taranja, where two checkpoints were established: the first on the Jibatha Al-Khashab–Ofania road, and the second on the Jibatha Al-Khashab–Ain Al-Nouria road.
