Syndicate: Bloody attacks on Palestinian journalists in 2025 expose Israeli extermination policy

The Palestinian Journalists Syndicate reported a sharp rise in attacks on journalists, with 76 injuries recorded by November 2025.

The Freedoms Committee said the Israeli occupation has shifted from restricting press work to systematically targeting journalists with deadly force to silence witnesses and prevent documentation of crimes.

2025 saw repeated mass targeting in tents, hospitals, press gatherings, and houses, resulting in amputations, vision loss, and permanent disabilities. Attacks included live fire, tear gas, drones, artillery, and settler assaults, often against journalists wearing protective gear.

Gaza was highlighted as the most dangerous area, particularly in Gaza City, Khan Younis, Deir al-Balah, Nuseirat, Jabalia, and Rafah, while in the West Bank, Al-Quds, Jenin, Nablus, Beita, Tulkarm, Hebron, and Ramallah were most affected.

The Syndicate warned that targeting journalists is a direct attack on truth and freedom of expression, with ongoing impunity fueling further crimes against media workers.
