The Palestinian Prisoners Defense Center said that about 45 Palestinian journalists are still detained in Israeli prisons, out of some 9,300 prisoners held in 25 detention facilities.
In a statement on Wednesday, the Center noted that the journalists face arbitrary administrative detention, harsh interrogation, and denial of basic rights, in violation of international humanitarian law and press freedom.
It stressed that these arrests aim to silence the truth and prevent documentation of violations against Palestinian civilians, calling for the immediate and unconditional release of all detained journalists , urging international institutions and media to act.
