Supreme Political Council Condemns Criminal US Aggression Against Venezuela

The Supreme Political Council strongly condemned the criminal US aggression against the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and the targeting of its capital and civilian facilities.

“The US attack on Caracas, its civilian facilities, and the arrest of President Maduro and his wife is a serious and unprecedented act of aggression and a blatant violation of Venezuelan sovereignty and the freedom of its people,” the Supreme Political Council said in a statement

“This aggressive behavior reflects the nature of US policy, which is based on attacking nations and imposing hegemony by force,” the statement read.

“The US aggression against Venezuela exposes all US fake claims about respecting democracy and the rights of peoples, and represents a direct threat to all independent states that refuse to submit to external dictates.”

It expressed its full solidarity with the Republic of Venezuela and affirm its legitimate right to defend its sovereignty, freedom and independence.

The council called on the free people of the world to condemn the aggression and reject US political and military bullying.
