Palestinian Prisoners’ Media Office: 9,300 Prisoners in Israeli Jails

The Palestinian Prisoners’ Media Office confirmed that the number of prisoners and detainees in Israeli prisons reached approximately 9,300 by the end of 2025, the majority of whom are being held without trial. The office considers this a clear indication of the use of detention as a repressive and punitive policy.

This information was included in a new documentary report issued by the office, titled “Detention as a Policy: A Digital Analysis of the Conditions of Palestinian Prisoners until December 2025,” which was reviewed by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba). The report highlights the escalating policy of systematic detention pursued by the Israeli authorities and its transformation into a tool of collective repression targeting all segments of Palestinian society.
