The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates in Sana’a, Abdulwahid Abu Ras, held a video conference meeting on Sunday with the Russian Ambassador to Yemen, Evgeny Kudrov, to discuss the latest political and regional developments.
During the meeting, Abu Ras expressed Sanaa’s appreciation for Russia’s “balanced and responsible positions” regarding the conflict and the blockade.
He praised Moscow’s realistic vision in handling the Yemeni file and recent UN Security Council resolutions, noting that such a stance reflects a fair understanding of the Yemeni people’s suffering.
For his part, the Russian Ambassador reaffirmed his country’s support for political efforts aimed at achieving peace and alleviating the humanitarian crisis.
He emphasized the importance of diplomatic solutions that preserve Yemen’s sovereignty and ensure regional stability.
