Massive Protests in several capitals demand aid access to Gaza

several capitals witnessed demonstrations denouncing Israel’s ongoing violations of the Gaza ceasefire agreement and calling for an end to the genocidal war and the entry of humanitarian aid.

In the Turkish capital, Ankara, the “Ankara Platform for Solidarity with Palestine” organized a protest against Israel’s breaches of the Gaza ceasefire. Protesters gathered in front of the U.S. Embassy in Ankara, chanting slogans against Israel, according to the Palestinian Media Center.

In Tunis, dozens participated in an event titled “A Stand of Anger Against the Continued Aggression,” organized by activists from associations and organizations such as the “Tunisian Coalition to Support Palestinian Rights,” the “Coordination for Joint Action for Palestine,” and the “Tunisian Network Against Normalization.”

The French capital, Paris, also witnessed a demonstration in solidarity with the peoples of Palestine, Sudan, and Venezuela, opposing “discrimination and oppression.” The protest, organized in response to calls from various associations and organizations, drew hundreds of participants expressing their objection to the “discrimination and oppression” faced by the peoples of these countries. Protesters affirmed their solidarity with the peoples of Palestine, Sudan, and Venezuela, holding banners reading slogans such as “Boycott Israel” and waving Palestinian and Venezuelan flags.

In the Swedish capital, Stockholm, a demonstration was also held today in support of Palestine and to condemn Israeli violations of the Gaza ceasefire agreement.

With U.S. and European support, the Israeli army has committed, over more than two continuous years since October 7, 2023, acts of genocide, siege, and starvation in Gaza, resulting in the deaths of 72,027 Palestinian civilians—mostly children and women—and injuries to 171,651 others, according to preliminary figures. Thousands of victims remain trapped under rubble or stranded in the streets, where rescue and medical teams cannot reach them.

The Gaza ceasefire agreement came into effect on October 10, following a two-year-long genocidal war by Israel. However, the Israeli army continues to daily violate the agreement and still prevents the entry of most humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip.
