Sana’a University cooperates in high-level program with 11 European and 3 Iranian universities

An academic team from Sana’a University is currently visiting Lund University in Sweden as part of the capacity-building project and “training for trainers” in the field of spatial study (satellite) for environmental management and studying the risks involved in the implementation of human interventions and projects.

The study also includes the effects of wars and environmental disasters such as fires and floods.

This academic coordination is carried out by the university leadership represented by Dr. Al Qasim Bin Abbas, Head of Sana’a University.

The team is also working with its peers from 11 European universities from Sweden, France, Lithuania, Greece, Spain and Portugal. Sana’a University, Taiz University from Yemen and three Iranian universities, all of which are working on a scientific education program based on the graduate studies of both types Bachelor and Master.

The project aims to build a scientific curriculum that is taught in graduate studies for undergraduate and master students.

The Sana’a university team has been assigned to prepare and compose most of the curriculum paragraphs, due to the high methodology provided by the team in the first phase of implementing the foundation questionnaire for the program.
