May 20th , The United States, on Thursday, has placed the governor of al-Bayda Governorate, Naif Saleh Salim al-Qaisi , who was appointed by Hadi, on its global terrorism blacklist.
US Treasury Department announced sanctions against six men of Hadi’s assistants for providing ‘financial support’ to terrorist groups such as al-Qaeda.
The executive Order 13224 that issued by U.S. targeted terrorist and supporters of al-Qaeda. The sanctions target “financiers and facilitators responsible for moving money, weapons and people on behalf of these terrorist organizations,” said Adam Szubin, the Treasury’s acting under secretary for terrorism and financial intelligence.
The decree accused al-Qaisi by working for al-Qaida as well as supporting them financially in the Arab peninsula.
In the meantime, al-Qaisi transformed money and weapons to al-Qaida terrorist members in addition to supply al-Qaeda in al-Bayda Governorate that is trying to control parts of Yemen.
According to US Treasury Department that in 2015 al-Qaisi provided al-Qaida and tribesmen with weapons and money to fight Houthis (Ansarullah ) in Yemen , and asking them to not fight al-Qaida.
The United States has placed Daesh (ISIL) branches in Saudi Arabia, Libya and Yemen on its global terrorism blacklist.
