December 17th, French researcher emphasized that Saudi Arabia intentionally targeted the Yemeni Heritage and everything that linked to the Yemeni civilization through direct and repeated bombardment.
During a seminar organized by University Library of Languages and Civilizations in Paris entitled “The Yemeni Heritage is in Danger”, Dr. Eric said that Saudi Arabia targeted many of the historical and religious locations that unrelated at all to the military targets such as the Old Sana’a city , Marib Dam ,Baraqish city , Kawkaban and School and Mosque of Zabid .
The French expert enforced his confirmation by UNESCO French member said that UNESCO organization sent a list of historical and archaeological sites to the Saudi-led coalition to not be targeted, but few days later the UNESCO was surprised that the Saudi-led Coalition targeted and bombardment most of these places causing huge damages .
Confirming that the Saudi’s intention to destroy the Old Yemeni civilization which Yemen distinguished, as evidence they destroyed the old Islamic Heritage like the House of the prophet Mohammed (PBUH) al-Madeenah and Maccah .
In his part, Mohammed Tawaf , researcher in the National Documentation Center in Sorbonne University went through to what the Yemeni Cultural heritage exposed to , pointing out that since March 2015 many of cultural buildings till now are destroying including the National Documentation building center in Aden which contains a large number of documents dating back to the history of the British occupation in addition to the National Library, which its document has been stolen after the it has been bombed .
Tawaf indicated that burning huge numbers of document in Mukalla after taken controlled by al-Qaida , including documents of a Mukalla Radio building and a number of government offices, back to the al-Qaaitih state, as well as the destroying and burning of Al-Saeed corporation for Science and Culture building in 2015 and 2016 in Taiz province .
He said the most of the government buildings and their archives were damaged by Saudi –led coalition air strikes in Taiz , Aden and Sa’ada since the start of Saudi-led coalition aggression raids on Yemen . in addition to 830 government building have been completely destroyed in Sana’a, Amran, Hodeidah, Marib, Dhamar, Al-Mahwi and Al-Bayda provinces .
The seminar stressed on the important of intensive work in this critical which the Yemeni heritage is in danger and highlight the catastrophic situation in order to save what can be saved.
