Foreign Minister Hisham Sharaf on Sunday met with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) Representative in Yemen Anjali Sen on the occasion of the end of her term of office.
Sharaf praised the efforts made by Anjali to contribute to alleviating the consequences of the humanitarian disaster and the role played by the United Nations Population Fund in Yemen, especially under these exceptional circumstances.
He urged the Fund to raise the level of cooperation in the field of health and medical to include as many as possible targets, especially in rural areas, which have been severely affected by the aggression and siege.
In her turn, Sen expressed gratitude and thanks for the support she received from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, pointing out that the humanitarian situation in Yemen is a high priority in the work of the Fund.
