Security services were able to arrest a child soldier cell recruited by an al-Qaeda takfiri group in Bayda province, the security media center reported.
According to the center, children between the ages of 10 and 15 were recruited by al-Qaeda to monitor the movements of a number of social figures from Bayda province.
The duties of the child soldiers consisted of monitoring and photographing the positions of the army, Popular Committees, security personnel and military pickups, and sending the pictures to the Saudi-led aggression command to be targeted in strikes.
The child recruits confessed to carrying out numerous monitoring and photography missions in service of the al-Qaeda takfiri group and in exchange for money.
Investigations revealed that the cell’s recruitment came through Hamid al-Ghanimi, an al-Qaeda member.
