Epidemiological monitoring data showed a significant increase in deaths and injuries caused by the suspected spread of the swine flu virus (H1N1) during the past two days in the capital, Sana’a, in conjunction with confirmation of the emergence of the virus in the governorates of Ibb and Taiz.

The  spokesman for the Ministry of Health , Dr. Yusef Al-Hadri, reduced the risk of spreading the H1N1 virus and considered that a problem of malaria, dengue and cholera remains more severe than this disease.

Al-Hadri said in a post on his Facebook account that there is intimidation in talking about the spread of the virus, and that the truth is that there are only some cases.

Al-Hadri called for not taking information from the media , but rather from its sources in the Ministry of Health, whether for this epidemic or for other diseases.

He said, “The Ministry of Health has provided medicines for Tamiflu disease and recovery from it is easy and fast like any other flu.”
