Secretary General of Hezbollah Sayyid Hassan Nasrallah on Saturday praised the initiative of Sayyed Abdulmalik al-Houthi to offer a deal for exchanging Saudi captive pilots and officers with detainees of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) in Saudi Arabia.
In a speech he delivered Saturday evening, Nasrallah said: “Great leaders in the world are failing the moral exam today.”
He added: “We highly appreciate Sayyed al-Houthi’s initiative to prepare for the exchange of Palestinian brothers arrested in Saudi Arabia.”
He praised the steadfastness of Yemenis in the face of Saudi-Emirati coalition war, saying: “The Yemeni people have provided legendary steadfastness for five years, and I renew the call for the aggression countries to stop the war on Yemen.”
Nasrallah called on the world to give a shout out to stop the war on Yemen, saying “After all injustice against the Yemeni people, isn’t it their right to stop the aggression against them? Is it not time for the world to shout at the rulers of Saudi Arabia to say to them: ‘Enough war on Yemen?”
Internationally, Sayyid Nasrallah commented on the developments of the new Corona virus epidemic, describing it as greater than all wars. “The world is witnessing at this stage an unprecedented situation since the Second World War, and what is happening is greater than all world wars.”
He continued: “We have been experiencing a new experience unlike any other for more than a hundred or two hundred years.”
“It is useful to feel that we are part of a global war against Corona, and we are still at the beginning of the battle with Corona,” he added.
In this regard, The Secretary General of Hezbollah considered that “the Lebanese government’s measures to confront Corona are acceptable and good.”
He said: “The Lebanese government should bear the responsibility for the return of expatriates, and the people should help in this.”
Nasrallah explained that the financial situation in Lebanon exceeds the conditions of war. “What is happening today on the financial front is more difficult than the July war and banks must help the country.”
