Today, Thursday, the National Prisoners’ Affairs Committee released 70 prisoners of the sick, wounded and elderly in a unilateral humanitarian initiative.
In his Tweeter account , the head of the Prisoners Committee, Abdel-Qader Al-Murtada, pointed out that the prisoners were released by order of the leadership and were handed over to the local authorities in the governorates.
Al-Murtada said, “We hope to see from the other side similar steps, especially for humanitarian cases, as they are most vulnerable to infection with the Coronavirus if it spreads, God forbid.”
