Prime Minister Dr. Abdulaziz bin Habtoor on Tuesday honored Head of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) delegation in Yemen Franz Rauchenstein with the Prime Ministry Shield on the occasion of the end of his work in the country.
The honoring comes in recognition of the efforts and actions made by Rauchenstein to alleviate the suffering of Yemeni people during carrying out his humanitarian duties as head of the mission in Yemen.
The shield was delivered by Assistant Prime Minister for Humanitarian Affairs Mohammed al-Amiri during his meeting today in Sanaa with head of the ICRC delegation.
During the meeting, Rauchenstein expressed his thanks for this honoring, stressing that Yemen and its human tragedy will remain with him and he will talk about it and its effects.
He voiced his confidence that the Yemeni tribulation is on the way to a comprehensive solution in the foreseeable future.
