The UAE forces held on Wednesday a battalion loyal to Shabwanian elite militias inside Belhaf facility in Shabwa province, a source told Yemen Press Agency.
The source declared that UAE held the battalion on charges of treason and communication with Islah party.
The battalion, which was in charge of guarding large parts of the facility, had its gunmen stripped of their weapons, after its members communicated with leaders in Islah party.
The members of the battalion informed the Emirates officers of the betrayal, so that all the battalion’s members were detained, and interrogated inside the iron counters and put them inside.
