A massive fire broke out on Thursday night in a showroom of a furniture and home furnishings store on Taiz Street, near Shumaila Market in Al-Sabeen District of the capital Sana’a.
Director of Civil Defense Department in the Capital Sana’a, Colonel Mohammed Bahish, said that the civil defence teams rushed to put out the fire and prevent it from spreading to the neighbouring buildings.
He pointed out that the fire caused great material losses without causing any human casualties, calling for the necessary measures to be taken in order to provide safety and security in all stores.
