Minister of Water and the Environment, Abdulraqeeb Al-Shormani, discussed here on Sunday with Deputy Head of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) delegation in Yemen, David Guchman, joint cooperation in the water projects support.
In the meeting, Al-Shormani referred to the qualitative interventions implemented by the ICRC in the water field and the need to coordinate with the Ministry to determine priorities according to the needs plans of each province.
The Minister of Water confirmed the Ministry’s keenness to coordinate with organizations to facilitate field work procedures and implement various interventions to popularize the use of projects and financing to include all regions.
He expressed his confidence that the ICRC would play the required role, especially in light of the conditions Yemen is going through as a result of the aggression and blockade.
For his part, Guchman confirmed that the office of ICRC’s delegation is keen to support the Ministry of Water in implementing interventions that meet the needs of citizens in the field of water and sanitation, reviewing the most prominent interventions implemented during the last period.
