The Yemeni Petroleum Company (YPC) confirmed on Sunday that the Saudi-led aggression coalition forces are still holding five fuel ships, including one loaded with mazut.
The company stated, in a statement issued on Saturday night, that the coalition has confessed the detention of four oil vessels with a total tonnage of 116,236 tons of gasoline and diesel for various periods, including five months (about 174 days) of unprecedented maritime piracy.
The statement indicated that all ships have obtained permits from the United Nations and that the cargo complies with the conditions mentioned in the concept of verification and inspection mechanism operations.
The coalition’s piracy was not matched by any serious and concrete action from the United Nations, as it is the international body concerned with facilitating the entry of imports of basic goods, the statement added.
