The Ministry of Tourism condemned in the strongest terms UAE’s move to transfer Israeli tourist groups to Socotra Island on Emirati visas.

It confirmed in a statement that this is contrary to international law, considering Yemeni island of Socotra and occupied by countries of aggression.

It pointed out that transfer of Israeli individuals to Socotra reveals the plans of UAE implementing the Zionist agenda to control Yemeni islands, within framework of normalizing with Zionist entity.

Al-Ali called in a statement for an international action to address the destructive behavior that threaten the ecological and vital system of the Socotra Archipelago. He called upon UNESCO and the International Union to send a joint committee to assess the effects resulting from the US-Saudi aggression activities in the archipelago.

Al-Ali explained that the coalition of aggression turned the archipelago into a center of conflict between its mercenaries, which must be stopped immediately. He pointed out that sending military forces to the island, building camps and resorts that destroy coral reefs, building factories for the export of fish and dredging coral reefs are also among those actions.
