The Supreme Political Council, in its meeting, on Wednesday, headed by the Chairman of Council, Mahdi Al-Mashat, welcomed all sincere efforts to alleviate the suffering of Yemeni people by lifting the siege and opening airports and ports without restrictions.
The Council praised the efforts of the Sultanate of Oman. Earlier this week the Omani delegation discussed in Sana’a a number of issues related to the humanitarian situation.
Members of the Council expressed their firm position with the Yemeni in dealing, positively, with any ideas and messages to end the US-Saudi aggression against Yemen. The Council explained that any terms resulting from these ideas should not touch the sovereignty of the county or compromise the legitimate right of Yemeni people.
The Supreme Political Council pointed out that the opening of Sana’a airport and the port of Hodeidah is a simple humanitarian entitlement that is not considered a bargain by anyone, but rather an accomplishment of the steadfastness of the Yemeni people and its Army and Committees.
The Council stressed three basic principles in any discussions coming, lifting of siege, ending military aggression, ending the occupation of foreign troops and stopping interference in internal affairs of Yemen.
The Council praised the victories achieved by the Army and Popular Committees. It reiterated that Yemen is on the verge of victory, as it has succeeded in defending its sovereignty and independence and has also rejected the guardianship and subordination imposed by US, Saudi, and UAE aggression.
