Deputy Chief :Yemeni Armed Forces Are Ready to Face Hostile Activities in Its Waters

In a statement to Almasirah TV, on Tuesday, the Deputy Chief of the General Staff, Major General Ali Al-Mushki, warned that the Armed Forces is ready to respond to any hostile activity by the US-Saudi forces in its waters and that all activities of the forces of aggression are under monitoring.

 “We have the right to take appropriate measures in this regard. We will defend Yemeni waters, with Allah’s help, and with all our strength,” he said.

He explained that seizure of the Emirati military cargo ship is an advanced operational response to the hostile activities and Yemeni waters, airspace and lands are forbidden to the US-Saudi aggression and their mercenaries.

He warned that any hostile activities are a legitimate target for the Army and Popular Committees and the forces of aggression must bear the consequences of their permanent violations of international laws.

In turn, the Commander of the Coastal Defense Brigade, Major General Mohammad al-Qadri, affirmed that Yemeni Armed Forces protect our coasts and waters, as they are not for picnics and parades, stressing, “They must understand this message well.”

Major General Al-Qadri noted that those who encroach on our territorial waters will be stopped and dealt with in accordance with international norms.

The head of the Military Intelligence Authority, Major General Abdullah Al-Hakim, confirmed, on Tuesday, said that military Intelligence has been monitoring and has full knowledge of the active military naval vessels in the Red Sea, noting that the Armed Forces can distinguish accurately between military and commercial ships.

He pointed out that seizure of the Emirati military cargo ship was carried out based on advanced monitoring, noting that Yemeni Army knew about the ship since the beginning of its sailing, the military equipment that it is carrying and its destination, stressing that Yemen is most keen about the security of international navigation and trade lines.
