UNESCO’s Regional Office Director and Representative for Yemen and the Gulf States, Anna Paolini, visited on Monday the old city of Sana’a and was briefed on several projects to preserve the old city.
During the visit, Paolini listened from the Minister of Culture, Abdullah Al-Kibsi, and the Mayor of Sana’a, Hamoud Obad, to an explanation on the most important projects implemented in the old city of Sana’a.
The UNESCO official praised Yemen’s stockpile of manuscripts, which includes valuables that are among the items of cultural heritage.
