The General Authority for Endowments has condemned the targeting of the forces of the US-Saudi-Emirati aggression against al-Qataba archaeological mosque in al-Khokha district in Hodeidah province.
In a statement, the authority denounced the aggression coalition’s persistence in targeting and destroying the houses of Allah and the Yemeni Islamic historical evidence, considering this a flagrant violation of religious laws, norms, charters, and international and humanitarian laws.
The statement stressed that the aggression coalition’s persistence in targeting Yemen’s historical and archaeological monuments, the latest of which was the destruction of the al-Qataba Mosque, reveals its hatred against the Yemeni people, its history, and human civilization.
It explained that the destruction of the historical sites and archaeological mosques in Yemen is an attack on the history and identity of the Yemeni people.
The statement called on the international community and the United Nations to play their role in stopping the barbarism, arrogance, and arrogance of the aggression in targeting Yemeni antiquities and human heritage.
It is noteworthy that the aggression targeted hundreds of mosques and shrines, including the destruction of the Jabal al-Nabi Shuhaib mosque in September 2016, which dates back to the ninth century.
