The Transitional Council, which calls for the secession of southern Yemen, raised the pace of escalation in the face of the “Presidential Council”, which complicates the process of bringing the factions loyal to the coalition together.
The head of the council, Aidarous al-Zubaidi, held a meeting with the leaders of the factions, units and brigades deployed under the council’s control in southern Yemen. The meeting included officials from Aden, Abyan, Lahj and Dhale.
According to Transitional media, Al-Zubaidi directed to raise the security vigil and readiness to confront what he described as “plans” targeting the land of the south.
The meeting came in light of the intensification of differences between Al-Zubaidi and the Presidential Council, of which he is a member, with Al-Alimi heading to issue decisions related to the inclusion of the transitional factions in the strength of the Ministries of Defense and Interior, which are still under the grip of his opponents in Islah and Ali Mohsen.
