The United Nations International Organization for Migration said that the education system in Yemen, which has been mired in a seven-year war, is on the verge of collapse.
The organization stated – in a brief statement posted on its Twitter account – that 3,000 Yemeni schools were destroyed and damaged as a result of the war, noting that there are nearly 3,000 schools either destroyed or damaged, and 2.4 million children are out of school.
