The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Agriculture for the Agricultural Services Sector, Daifallah Shamlan, has stressed the importance of investing in the production and marketing of local grapes.
He added that this would raise and improve the grapes crop quality and enabling it to compete in a very large way for the external product.
During the inauguration of “the Grape Origin Company” specialized in the production and marketing of local grapes and its products Monday in Sanaa, Shamlan considered that a good step in marketing grapes in a modern and organized way.
For his part, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Local Administration, Ammar Al-Hareb, referred to the role of the private sector in development and the necessary studies and research to address the obstacles facing agriculture, including the cultivation of Yemeni grapes.
The CEO of the Company, Ali Jarallah, in turn confirmed the company’s commitment to work to support and encourage grape cultivation.
