Civil Aviation and Meteorology Authority Expects Rain and thunderstorms on the mountain heights

Civil Aviation and Meteorology Authority expected thunderstorms of varying intensity in several governorates, and warned of low horizontal visibility due to fog or water rascal during the next 24 hours.

The Authority said in its weather bulletin today that it expects rain of varying intensity, accompanied by thunderstorms and hail at times, in separate areas of the governorates of Sa’ada, Amran, Sana’a, Al-Mahweet, Dhamar, Taiz, and parts of eastern Hajjah, Rima, Ibb and Al-Dhalea.

The Authority does not rule out that the rains will extend eastward towards some areas of Al-Jawf, Marib, Abyan and Shabwa heights, and the Hadramout plateau.

He pointed to the possibility of active to strong winds blowing in the south of the Red Sea and the entrance to Bab al-Mandab, with a maximum speed of 32 knots.

The Authority reported rains of varying intensity, some of which were accompanied by thunderstorms, with hail falling during the past hours, and were outside the scope of the meteorological stations.
