An Israeli reservist soldier was killed, and nine others were wounded on Sunday after an improvised explosive device detonated in southern Lebanon, according to Israeli occupation military statements and media reports.

The soldier, identified as part of the 7106th Battalion of the 769th ‘Hiram’ Regional Brigade, was killed when an engineering vehicle struck the device during operations in occupied Lebanese territory.

Troops securing the vehicle were caught in the blast, resulting in multiple casualties, with the wounded evacuated by helicopter.

According to Al Mayadeen, the Israeli occupation army confirmed that Sergeant Lidor Porat was killed in the incident, while nine others were wounded, including one seriously.

Israeli media also reported that another reservist was killed a day earlier in a similar explosion in the village of Jebbayn.

The soldier, identified as Barak Khalfon, was reportedly part of a unit inspecting a building when an explosive device detonated, wounding three additional soldiers.
