An American drone launched an air strike on the Shabwa governorate, which is controlled by the UAE-backed Transitional Council, in southern Yemen.
Sources said that the plane targeted an element of (Al-Qaeda) near Al-Kour area in Al-Saeed Directorate.
The raid came after the killing of the leader of (al-Qaeda) Abu Muhammad al-Shalouni al-Awlaki, as a result of an air strike in al-Musaina in the same district of al-Saeed.
