Aden witnessed, on Wednesday, a new rise in fuel prices. This coincides with international reports about the bankruptcy of the Central Bank of Aden, amid anticipation of a new collapse for all sectors.

Local sources in Aden reported that the price of a 20-liter gallon of gasoline jumped to about 21,000 riyals for the first time in weeks.

The  oil company did not officially announce the motives for the new price, despite its desire to impose a new dose a few days ago, but its timing indicates that it is part of the strategy to mitigate the shock after the expected collapse of the local currency due to the bankruptcy of the  Central Bank of Aden.

Fuel is one of several major sectors and services in Aden that have been suffering a collapse for days, most notably electricity, all of which are indications that the biggest collapse in the city is approaching.
