His Excellency Field Marshal Mahdi Al-Mashat, Head of the Supreme Political Council, met today with Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Hussein Hazeb.
During the meeting, they reviewed the ministry’s plans to improve the educational process in public and private universities, ,supervise and control their performance.
During the meeting, President Al-Mashat confirmed that the American-Saudi aggression deliberately targeted the educational process directly and in various ways, as the infrastructure of universities, institutes and schools was bombed, and the aggression countries, led by America, cut the salaries of male, female teachers and university professors with the aim of narrowing their living and psychological conditions and ignoring generations of Yemeni people.
The President directed the Minister of Higher Education to pay attention to the educational process and develop curricula and performance in line with scientific and technological developments, and in a way that reflects positively on the outputs of higher education, stressing the importance of linking sciences, knowledge and disciplines with the needs of development and work.
He expressed his thanks to the professors of Yemeni universities, institutes and schools who, throughout the nine years of aggression, provided all their knowledge and science, and played their sacred jihadi role in educating generations, which we consider a great role that is no less important than what the army heroes do on the advanced fronts.
