His Excellency Field Marshal Mahdi Al-Mashat, Head of the Supreme Political Council, met today with the Minister of Electricity and Energy, Dr. Muhammad Al-Bukhaiti.
During the meeting, His Excellency the President praised the tangible achievement made by the Ministry, represented by its Minister, Dr. Al-Bukhaiti, starting with planning, preparing legal regulations and fair price tariffs, and then bringing them down to the private sector and adhering to them, controlling violators, and restoring the readiness of a large part of the network that was destroyed by the American-Saudi aggression during the past nine years.
He pointed out that what the Ministry of Electricity has achieved, by continuing to provide electricity to the areas of Hodeida within 24 hours without interruption throughout since last year, and the reduction in the tariff price for the citizens of Hodeida, gives rise to pleasure and hope in building a state of institutions that serve the great Yemeni people.
President Al-Mashat directed Electricity Minister to expand the provision of service through the national network, and to introduce the service to subscribers, whether in the commercial or domestic sector.
He stressed the importance of operating and rehabilitating the existing capabilities, which were destroyed by the US-Saudi aggression, rehabilitating and maintaining the distribution network, and restarting the transmission lines.
