One person died and 14 others were injured in the explosion of a gunpowder store yesterday evening in Amran Governorate.
A civil defense source told “September 26” that massive explosions occurred in the village of Al-Muammar and Beit Silan in the area of the Jabal Yazid District Hall in Amran Governorate, north of the capital, Sana’a, as a result of the explosion of a gunpowder store.
The source suggested that the explosion occurred due to poor storage and also led to the complete destruction of the merchant’s house and four other nearby houses.
The source warned of the need to take the necessary precautions to secure and store such materials.
