The new operation by Sana’a forces, targeting two Israeli ships in Bab al-Mandab, doubled the losses of the Israeli economy resulting from Sana’a’s closure of navigation to its ships in the Red and Arabian seas.
The Hebrew website “port2port”, which specializes in transportation affairs around the world, revealed that “the cost of shipping from Chinese ports to Israel has increased by between 16% and 36%.”
The “Nziv Net” website confirmed that “the southern sea corridor to Israel is now completely closed by the “Houthis”, and this is serious national damage, serious economic damage, and strategic damage, which Israel cannot accept.”
Meanwhile, the Israeli newspaper “Calcalist” reported that shipping companies are demanding widespread military protection on Middle East routes, in the wake of the recent attacks by Sana’a forces in the Red Sea.
