The Israeli enemy media continued to emphasize the effectiveness of the Yemeni front supporting Gaza, as Hebrew reports said, on Tuesday, that “Israel” had lost its power as an anchor for maritime trade in the region.

The Hebrew newspaper “The Marker” published a report in which it confirmed that “container movement in Israel decreased in the first quarter of this year to 19.9 thousand containers compared to 44.2 thousand containers in the first quarter of last year,” which is a percentage of more than 51%.

The newspaper added, “This means that the “Houthi” attacks have caused Israel to lose, at least for the time being, its position as a central linking point for container movement in the Mediterranean, and there is no possibility of the situation changing in the coming months.”

It explained, “Today most container ships make a round trip around Africa, so that the port of Haifa Bay has become the last stop on the ship’s route, and therefore the port can no longer act as a major regional station.”

The newspaper stated in another report that the percentage of car imports to Israel during the first quarter of this year decreased by 65% compared to the same period last year, according to data from the Shipping and Ports Authority.

The Hebrew newspaper “Globus” also quoted the same data that imports of electric cars from China to “Israel” decreased by 51% during the first quarter of this year.

The two newspapers confirmed that the situation in the Red Sea contributed to this sharp decline, in reference to the blockade imposed by the armed forces on ships heading to the ports of occupied Palestine.

It is noteworthy that the port of Umm Rashrash (Eilat) was the main port for receiving cars imported into the enemy entity, as it received 50% of the total imported cars.

“The Marker” newspaper quoted the head of the enemy’s Shipping Chamber, Yoram Ziba, as saying, “The shipping industry is not enthusiastic about reviving maritime shipping to Israel.”

He added: “Every container that is delayed causes damage to the supply chain. It is not just a TV screen, but components used in industry and food products.”
