Pro-Palestinian protest in Chile condemns Zionist aggression on Gaza

Thousands of demonstrators took to the streets in the Chilean capital, Santiago, in solidarity with Palestine and to condemn the ongoing American-Zionist aggression on the Gaza Strip.

On Friday, Chilean local media reported that the protesters marched through major streets in Santiago, chanting slogans denouncing the continued aggression and calling for pressure on the Zionist entity to immediately cease its actions.

At the beginning of this month, Chilean President Gabriel Boric announced that his country would join South Africa in its lawsuit against the Zionist entity before the International Court of Justice.

On December 29, 2023, South Africa filed a lawsuit against the occupying entity at the International Court of Justice, accusing it of “acts of genocide” against citizens in the Gaza Strip.

The Zionist forces committed a massacre in the Nuseirat refugee camp, resulting in the martyrdom of 210 citizens and the injury of more than 400 others.

Israel’s military offensive in the Gaza Strip has now killed at least 37,084 Palestinians and wounded 84,494 since 7 October, according to the Palestinian ministry of health.
