Five Citizens Died and Injured by lightning

Five people died and injured by lightning strikes in the governorates of Al Dhale’e and Hajjah, amid heavy rains in the country.

Sources reported that citizen “Fahd Musleh Abdul Rahim” died after being struck by lightning in  Bait Al Yazidi area in Damt District, Al Dhale’e Governorate, while citizen “Saleh Yahya” was injured after being struck by lightning in the “Sahour” Valley in Damt District in the same governorate.

Local sources  explained that the lightning strike that hit the Sahour Valley area in Damt District in Al Dhale’e led to the death of about 15 livestock.

These lightning strikes come a day after the death of a child named Muhammad Abdullah Muhammad and the injury of his brother after they were struck by lightning in their home in the Al Shaghad area in the Hajr District in Al Dhale’e Governorate.

In Hajjah Governorate, a citizen named “Ahmad Hassan Al Wazzaf” died in the “Kasher” District of Hiraa due to a lightning strike.

Since last March, dozens of citizens, including women and children, have died as a result of lightning strikes in various Yemeni governorates.
