The official Israeli Broadcasting Corporation quoted officials in Netanyahu’s government as confirming that the Haifa municipality and what is known as the “governmental” National Energy Company had reached an agreement to begin dismantling oil tanks and materials it described as dangerous in the port.

The agreement includes evacuating the safes.

According to the sources, the occupation government is seeking to move these tanks to alternative locations and keep only 9 to continue operating the oil depots.

This is the first time that the occupation has decided to evacuate its most important ports since its inception.

The evacuation decision came as the occupation anticipated a broad response from the axis of resistance to its recent series of attacks, which targeted the port of Hodeidah in Yemen, in addition to Lebanon, Iraq and Iran.

The city of Haifa was recently subjected to a series of attacks, some of which were claimed by Yemeni forces in cooperation with Iraqi resistance factions, in addition to other attacks from Lebanon.

Yemeni operations focused on the occupation ports on the Mediterranean, specifically Haifa.
