Al-Qaeda elements in Mudiyah district in Abyan launched an armed attack targeting STC forces in Wadi Omran, resulting in deaths and injuries.
Security sources said that clashes erupted between a STC force and Al-Qaeda militants who carried out an attack on the Radfani site in the village of Ambagira in Wadi Omran in Mudiyah district, east of Abyan.
They added that the clashes resulted in deaths and injuries among the STC forces.
Since expelling Islah and its forces from Abyan in 2022, the STC forces have been subjected to widespread depletion as they are targeted by continuous attacks by Al-Qaeda, causing human and material losses.
