The Iranian supreme leader, Ali Khamenei, expressed his condolences for the martyrdom of the head of Hamas political bureau, Yahya Al-Sinwar, in the Gaza Strip.

Khamenei said in a press release on Saturday that Al-Sinwar gave the Israeli occupation a strong slap on October 7 that will never be erased from the history of the region, stressing that the resistance will not halt its progress in wake of the martyrdom of Al-Sinwar, similarly as it did not after the martyrdom of its eminent figurers.

“Hamas is alive and will stay alive,” Khamenei said, adding that the martyr “Al-Sinwar was the bright face of resistance and struggle, as he stood in the face of the unjust enemy.”
