The Ministry of Justice and Human Rights has welcomed the International Criminal Court’s decision to issue arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the dismissed Defense Minister Yoav Galant on charges of war crimes committed in Gaza.

In a statement issued today, the Ministry called on all member states of the ICC to respect and implement the Court’s decision.

It pointed out that the delayed action had ad enabled the Israeli entity to commit more crimes against the Palestinian people and Lebanese civilians, while continuing to openly defy international law, humanitarian principles, and international institutions.

The Ministry also urged the ICC to act on complaints against Israeli political and military leaders, as well as any states or individuals supporting these atrocities, including the US for its role in perpetrating and endorsing genocidal acts and crimes against humanity against Palestinians and Lebanese.

Furthermore, The Ministry also urged the international community to sever diplomatic and economic ties with the occupying entity and take all necessary measures to achieve this, by supporting the ICC’s decisions and uphold justice and humanity.
