Yemen Scholars Association held today an extensive meeting in Hodeida province titled: “The Responsibility of the Scholars of the Ummah in Jihad for Clarification and Incitement to Fight the Leaders of Disbelief, the Arrogant, and the Hypocrites,” to discuss preparations for confronting the American and Zionist threats and supporting the Palestinian people in Gaza.
During the meeting, the Grand Mufti of Yemen, Sheikh Shams al-Din Sharaf al-Din, emphasized the importance of the role of scholars as a fundamental pillar that illuminates the path of the Ummah after the Book of Allah and the Sunnah of His Messenger, peace be upon him.
He stressed the necessity of promoting the values of jihad and martyrdom in the way of Allah, defending the homeland, and supporting the oppressed, confirming that the reward is eternal paradise as promised by Allah, the Almighty.
The Mufti highlighted the important role of scholars in spreading awareness and motivating the community through mosque pulpits to engage in mobilization and preparation to confront the ongoing American and Zionist threats and to support the resistance in Gaza.
He also reviewed the historical role of Yemenis in spreading Islam and supporting Muslims since the dawn of the Islamic call.
At the end of the meeting, the scholars issued a statement calling on the Muslim Ummah to unite, eject division and sectarianism, directing mosque preachers and intellectual elites to focus their hostility on the true enemies of the Ummah: America, Israel, and their collaborators.
They also urged neutral and hesitant scholars to break their silence and join the ranks of the Ummah in facing the current challenges.
The statement warned against distracting the people with side battles and called on Arab and Muslim rulers to change their disgraceful positions and return to supporting just causes before divine punishment arrives.
The statement also urged the Arab and Islamic nations, including their peoples and armies, to adopt sincere faith-based stances and support the resistance in Gaza through economic boycotts, demonstrations, and political pressure.
The statement further urged the youth of Yemen and all capable individuals to join the ‘Flood of Al-Aqsa’ training courses to acquire combat skills and enhance military capabilities, particularly in missile and drone warfare, to confront the enemies of the Ummah and achieve the desired victory.
