Violent armed clashes erupted between militias affiliated with the UAE-backed Transitional Council in the occupied city of Aden.
Local media reported that the clashes erupted between elements affiliated with the mercenary Samed Sanah on Workers Island and the so-called “Emergency” factions led by Mohammed Hussein Al-Khaili in Khormaksar yesterday, in which light and medium weapons were used.
The sources indicated that the clashes between the leaders of the Transitional Council militias were for reasons related to control of lands and resources, amidst a state of security chaos witnessed by the city.
On the other hand, eyewitnesses reported that the Khormaksar area has turned into a military barracks for dozens of Transitional Council elements who spread out around the area, reaching the parade square.
The Transitional Council militia seeks to overthrow the “Riyadh Council” and the government affiliated with the occupation through the civilian components of the unions and syndicates loyal to it in protest against the economic collapse and the lack of various services.
The city of Aden is witnessing an angry demonstration today demanding the departure of the occupation and its affiliated government due to the economic war it is waging against the people of the city and the rest of the southern governorates.
Activists on social media called on the people of Aden and the rest of the southern governorates to march in masses to participate in the protest demonstration in the parade square in the Khormaksar area in response to what they described as the “war of services and starvation” practiced by the occupation and its affiliated government.
Participants stressed that this demonstration comes to express popular discontent with the economic collapse and rising prices due to the collapse of the currency in addition to the lack of electricity and its interruption for nearly 20 hours a day.
The areas of Yemen under the control of the occupation are witnessing a state of economic collapse, which experts confirm is happening deliberately, amid what citizens describe as “false promises” made by the occupation and its affiliated government in southern and eastern Yemen, since the beginning of the aggression on Yemen in March 2015.
In addition, Al-Mahrah Governorate, which borders the Sultanate of Oman, is witnessing extensive movements that threaten to explode the situation between the tribesmen and those loyal to the foreign forces funded by Saudi Arabia.
A local source reported that Saudi Arabia is escalating its provocations against the people of Al-Mahrah who oppose the formation of armed militias “Shield of the Nation” from extremist Salafist groups in the governorate.
He explained that the leadership of the Saudi forces present at Al-Ghaydah Civil Airport, which it has turned into a joint American-British military base, is managing the recruitment process and receiving its loyalists with the aim of dividing the ranks of the people of Al-Mahrah society, amid the silence of the “government and the Riyadh Council” affiliated with the occupation.
The source stated that the tribes of Al-Mahrah are making extensive preparations for civil escalation against the Saudi movements and pressure to remove foreign forces from Al-Mahrah.
He pointed out that the sons of the Mahra tribes are determined to defend their lands without allowing any external force to divide their ranks or plunge the governorate into a state of security chaos.
