Earthquake in Shabwa with a magnitude of 3.1

stations of the Earthquake and Volcano Monitoring and Study Center recorded an earthquake today in the city of Ataq, the center of Shabwa Governorate.

The head of the Earthquake and Volcano Monitoring and Study Center in Dhamar Governorate, Eng. Mohammed Hussein Al-Houthi, told “Al-Thawra Net” that the earthquake occurred in Ataq at 11:10 pm, with a light magnitude of 3.1 degrees.

He pointed out that the monitoring stations recorded five earthquakes in Ethiopia during Sunday, ranging in magnitude between 3.9-4.8 degrees on the Richter scale, in addition to recording an earthquake in Mexico with a magnitude of 6.2 degrees.
