Dhamar Governor Launches Ramadan Market Monitoring Campaign

Dhamar Governor Mohammed al-Bukhaiti, launched, on Wednesday, the Ramadan Consumer Protection Monitoring Campaign, which is being carried out by the Office of Economy, Industry, and Investment in the governorate.”

The campaign aims to monitor prices, ensure the quality and validity of goods, and prevent exploitation of consumers during the holy month.

During the launch event, al-Bukhaiti emphasized the importance of this campaign during the blessed month of Ramadan for field monitoring of prices and the supply situation to protect consumers.

He stressed the need for the monitoring teams to perform their duties effectively and evaluate their performance during Ramadan to ensure the stability of goods and supplies, and to apprehend violators.

For his part, the Director of Economy, Industry, and Investment in the governorate, Sadiq Al-Jabr, outlined the mechanism of the monitoring plan for markets, sales outlets, and commercial complexes, as well as the level of coordination for price control, in line with the directives of the Ministry of Economy, Industry, and Investment and the local authority in the governorate.

He outlined that the field teams are carrying out daily monitoring in line with the prepared plan to maintain stability in the markets.

He confirmed that the monitoring campaign will continue through the end of Ramadan and emphasized the necessity for the committees to carry out their roles diligently, taking legal action against any violators.
